Meet the Artist

Welcome to Castle Photo Art. My name is Gary “Castle” Carter. Photography is a passion of mine and I love to create beautiful images. I also love working with people. I take great pride in my work, and I also take great pride in building relationships with my clients. 

Photos come alive when both the photographer and the client are having fun. There is extra life in such photos. Utah can be a tough market for photographers as the market is saturated. There are a lot of great photographers out there. Unfortunately there are also a lot of aspiring photographers out there with limited gear, limited knowledge, and limited experience. These well intended photographers can save you money, but you can also end up with a less than desirable outcome. Don’t trust your memories to just anyone.  

Why am I different from my competitors? I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America, I have invested my time in education so I can get you the best results. Not only do I continually seek to educate myself, but I have developed and teach professional photography courses. I offer competitive pricing, and best of all I offer a quick turn around on your photos. 

Many photographers charge a premium price and limit the number of edited shots they will provide their clients.  These photos come with a restrictive release on how their clients can use their photos. I believe in simple contracts, and no releases. I also don’t place an artificial cap on the number of edited photos I provide. On a simple shoot I often provide over 75+ edited photos to my clients. Many more for special events like weddings!    

I shoot Canon cameras and lenses and through the classes I teach, I have developed a relationship with Canon USA. This gives me an edge on the best way to use the technology and access to some of the latest gear as I seek to constantly grow and improve.
